Tyler Braden – Fri., August 6
If ever there was a country artist ready to set the world on fire, it would have to be Tyler Braden. He has the gritty powerhouse vocal, the expressive pen and the ability to deliver a lyric with complete conviction worthy of a headliner. Braden grew up in Slapout, Alabama just miles from the graveyard memorial to Hank Williams. With parents who fostered an early appreciation for country music, guitar-playing songwriters populating the airwaves and a group of rock-loving friends by his side, he spent much of his life blending natural influences to craft a sound of his own.
His early twenties saw him playing local shows and touring the southeast while serving as a first responder in Montgomery. A gig in Music City inspired a move north, and Braden continued firefighting in the suburbs of Nashville while preparing to take his music career to the next level. His first date at the homegrown Whiskey Jam concert series in January 2017 paved his path to today.
With nearly 30 million streams already to his name and a growing list of major tour credits, he introduced himself to world as a major label recording artist this spring with his take on NEEDTOBREATHE hit “Brother.” Praised for his “commanding delivery” (MusicRow), Braden offered the song as a tribute to his first responder family and all those fighting on the frontlines during the pandemic. This summer he offered words from his own pen in his first original Warner Music Nashville release “Love Is A Dead End Road” (Braden, Chase Rice, Brock Berryhill) and most recently shared his solo-written reflection on a small town, “Secret.”
Scott Stevens – Fri., Aug. 13
“It’s groove centric country with a rock and roll soul,” says singer-songwriter Scott Stevens, when asked to describe his sound. He adds “Lyrically, I write only what I’m feeling. Sometimes that means covering some uncharted territory – especially in the country format.” In that regard at least, Stevens arguably could be considered the new outlaw country.
Stevens and his band (guitarist Tim Pasley and Drummer Nico Medina) forge the river of a sound they call country groove rock. The sound is just as much Doobie Brothers, Steve Miller Band, and Queen as it is a nod to country staples like fresh faced John Michael Montgomery and Kenny Chesney.
Dillon Carmichael – Fri., Aug. 20
Dillon Carmichael has a profound respect for country music. Critics and fans from across the musical spectrum found much to fall in love with this past fall when Dillon Carmichael unleashed his brilliant debut, ‘Hell On An Angel.’ Produced by Dave Cobb—the studio guru behind country radio powerhouses like Chris Stapleton and Zac Brown Band—the album merged a sonically progressive palette with a tasteful reverence for the past and wrapped it all up with a director’s eye for detail, creating a stunning collection that was at once old-school and modern, traditional, and contemporary, timeless, and timely.
The New York Times compared Carmichael to Randy Travis and said his rich baritone voice “moves with the heft and certainty of a tractor-trailer,” while NPR praised his “deep holler,” and Parade raved that “Carmichael defines pure country.” He landed on Artist To Watch lists from Billboard, Rolling Stone, Taste of Country, Pandora, and more, reached #2 at Country radio’s Most Added chart with his debut radio single, “Dancing Away With My Heart,” electrified festival crowds from CMA Fest to Dierks Bentley’s Seven Peaks, and earned tour dates with Aaron Lewis, Dwight Yoakam, Trace Adkins, The Cadillac Three, and A Thousand Horses among others.
Levi Hummon – Fri., Aug. 27
Levi Hummon made his imprint on the Nashville community long before he realized the extent of his craft. Born and raised in Music City, Hummon was surrounded by music greats. A product of his environment, he was named one of Entertainment Weekly’s 5 Artists Breaking Now and Rolling Stone Country’s ‘One to Watch.’ According to Taste of Country Hummon’s latest EP, Patient, “proves his singer-songwriter mark will be distinct” and CMT praises that the songs feature “lyrical content chock full of vulnerability and heart.” Hummon spent the end of 2019 on tour with acts such as Tim McGraw, Keith Urban and Lady Antebellum. With recent features in Billboard and Forbes, and over 100 million on demand streams, Hummon is ready for 2021 full of new music and touring.
