World’s premiere professional domino league to offer more than $100,000 in cash and prizes at Summer Classic tournament on Saturday, July 17, 2021
Hundreds of domino enthusiasts and thousands of spectators from around the world will gather this summer at Circa Resort & Casino in downtown Las Vegas for theUniversal Domino League’s highly-anticipated Summer Kickoff Domino Tournament. Held Saturday, July 17 at 11 a.m., competitors will compete for more than $100,000 in cash and prizes, the UDL Championship Belt and the prestigious title of “Universal Domino League Champion.”
“We’re thrilled to partner with Circa Resort & Casino to bring the Summer Kickoff Domino Tournament to downtown Las Vegas,” said Harold Moret, Founder of the Universal Domino League. “Domino enthusiasts will not only be able to watch the competition unfold, but will have the opportunity to participate and compete against the country’s best players for a chance to win a share of more than $100,000 in cash and prizes.”
The UDL’s Summer Kickoff Domino Tournament will feature hundreds of dominoes players from around the world competing in head-to-head, action-packed, double-elimination rounds. Each match will be a best-of-three up to 150 points, with the last contestant standing named the “UDL Summer Kickoff Champion.” The championship match will be best-of-seven and will be streamed live on the UDL Network via YouTube, Twitch and Facebook Live.
“The Summer Kickoff Domino Tournament will be the UDL’s first event in more than a year and will be the largest, sanctioned domino tournament in history,” said Moret. “Domino players are anxious and excited to get back to the game they love and compete at the highest levels for the chance to take home the UDL Championship Belt.”
Registration for the UDL’s Summer KickoffDomino Tournament is $200 per competitor. Preliminary rounds begin at 10 a.m. Tournament payout is as follows, with the top 32 players receiving a payout and the grand prize winner receiving more than $30,000 in cash and prizes. Must be 21 years or older to compete.
Tournament Payout: 1st Place – $30,000 – Cash & Prizes, 2nd Place – $15,000 – Cash & Prizes, 3rd – 4th Place – $6,250 – Cash & Prizes 5th – 8th Place – $2,500, Cash & Prizes 9th – 16th Place – $1,000 – Cash & Prizes 17th – 32nd Place – $500 – Cash & Prizes
