Variety Of Youth & Adult Activities Offer Fun All Summer
Online registration is open now for summer fun activities at city of Las Vegas pools, community and sports centers and senior centers. And, Discover The Arts! at city of Las Vegas cultural centers. Classes and activities for all ages begin the week of June 1. Visit registration.lasvegasnevada.gov/ for details on what is offered and registration.
New this summer are eSports classes at the Dula Community Center, offering ages 8-14 both video game competitions and physical activities Saturday mornings.
Youth activities include swim lessons and competitive Splash Swim Programs (water polo, diving, swimming and synchronized swimming teams at every city pool). Summer day camp is offered for ages 3-14, but that’s not all. The kids can build their skills in basketball, hockey, soccer and flag football, or even try a sports sampler — or learn martial arts, gymnastics, tumbling, theatre, dance, or visual arts. There is even babysitter training for ages 11-15!
Adults may enjoy a wide variety of activities and workshops, from virtual lessons in recording with Ableton Live software to volleyball boot camp or league play in pickleball, softball and racquetball. There are guitar and keyboard lessons, fitness options and broad choices in dance lessons, as well as other performing arts.
Seniors (ages 50+) can enjoy ceramics, jewelry making, knit/crochet clubs, crafting, gardening, fitness options, dance lessons, bingo or bunco with lunch, or just meet friends at the senior center for cards and games. You could join a musical theatre group or learn to play an instrument.
Explore the options online, or discover the fun at a nearby city of Las Vegas center.
