Awardees Support Youth Development, Active Military and Veterans, and Growing the Game of Football
The Raiders Foundation, the charitable arm of the Las Vegas Raiders, has announced that it awarded its inaugural round of grants to 23 statewide, community-based organizations through its Community Investment Grant Program.
The awardees were recognized during the Las Vegas Raiders Draft Party presented by Modelo, which was held at Allegiant Stadium on Thursday, April 29, 2021.
“Our Commitment to Excellence is key when the Raiders take the field, as well as when we are working to improve the lives of our family, friends, and neighbors. We are incredibly proud to support the work of these nonprofits that make such an important impact on residents across Nevada, but especially for kids looking for a sense of community by playing football, and for the brave active duty and veteran military members who serve or have served our country,” said Raiders President Marc Badain.

Funding for the Raiders Foundation Community Investment Grant program comes from the Raiders License Plate Program that kicked off in January 2019 when the Silver and Black teamed up with the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles to release a specialty Raiders branded license plate. The program is generating funds for the Raiders Foundation while giving fans a way to show their support for the Raiders every time they are on the road. Nevadans can be a part of the Silver and Black’s push to show their support by purchasing a Raiders License Plate, and in turn contributing to the community by going to https://dmvnv.com/platescharitable.htm.
