SaadiQ has also hosted pop-up parties at major events such as Art Basel and Paris Fashion Week.
Now, SaadiQ has teamed up with Las Vegas legend DJ Franzen to bring this residency to The Studio at Hakkasan.
Who is SaadiQ?
Raphael Saadiq is a Grammy-winning musician, songwriter, and producer known for his deep influence on R&B music. Born in Oakland, California, he first gained prominence as a member of the R&B group Tony! Toni! Toné!, which achieved significant success in the late 1980s and 1990s with hits like “Feels Good,” “Anniversary,” and “It Never Rains (In Southern California)” (Raphael Saadiq Music) (Bandsintown).
After the group disbanded in 1997, Saadiq formed the supergroup Lucy Pearl in 1999, collaborating with Dawn Robinson from En Vogue and Ali Shaheed Muhammad from A Tribe Called Quest. Although Lucy Pearl only released one album, it left a lasting impact on the R&B scene (Wikipedia).
Saadiq’s solo career began with his critically acclaimed debut album “Instant Vintage” in 2002. He has since released several solo albums, including “Ray Ray,” “The Way I See It,” and “Stone Rollin’.” His music often blends classic soul influences with contemporary sounds, earning him praise for revitalizing the R&B genre (Events Liker) (Wikipedia).
In addition to his solo work, Saadiq is a highly sought-after producer and songwriter. He has worked with numerous artists, including D’Angelo, Solange, and Mary J. Blige, and has contributed to hits like D’Angelo’s “Untitled (How Does It Feel)” and Solange’s “Cranes in the Sky” (Bandsintown) (Wikipedia).
Saadiq is currently on tour, performing both his solo material and classic Tony! Toni! Toné! songs, making it a highly anticipated event for R&B fans (Raphael Saadiq Music) (Events Liker). You can visit his official website or ticketing platforms like Ticketmaster and Live Nation for more information about his tour dates and tickets.
