Representatives from multiple nonprofits will be present to meet job candidates and conduct onsite interviews
Job seekers looking for a fulfilling role at one of Southern Nevada’s many nonprofits are invited to attend the quarterly Work with Purpose hiring event and meet with multiple nonprofits. Hiring managers and representatives from the area’s leading community service organizations will be ready to meet with those looking to make a difference in our city.
The event takes place from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Opportunity Village Smith Family Campus, 6300 W. Oakey Blvd. and will feature representatives from many organizations, including Communities In Schools of Nevada, YMCA of Southern Nevada, The Culinary Academy of Las Vegas, Opportunity Village, Family Promise of Las Vegas, The Animal Foundation, Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada, The Salvation Army, and Boys & Girls Club of Southern Nevada.
“Even if you’re not sure what you’d like to do at a nonprofit, coming to Work with Purpose is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about our community organizations and what jobs are available,” said Bob Brown, president and CEO of Opportunity Village. “There’s no pressure, it’s just a great day to come out, meet wonderful people, and learn about the great benefits available at today’s nonprofits.”
Those interested in attending should come dressed for the job they’re seeking with a resume and any questions they may have. While an RSVP isn’t required to attend, there is a Facebook event page here with more information that the public is welcome to share with friends and family. Examples of open positions include sales associates, floor care custodians, security officers, administrative staff, and fitness instructors.
The event is hosted by Opportunity Village and sponsored by SilverSummit Healthplan and the CEO Exchange of Southern Nevada, a collaboration of 15 member organizations with a mission to strengthen the social safety net by building a collective voice and promoting collaboration.
