Las Vegas’s hottest event of the year will make its return on Saturday, Sept. 9 at Palms Casino Resort from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. Held inside Palms SOAK Pool and KAOS Nightclub, Aid for AIDS of Nevada’s (AFAN) 37th annual Black & White Party, in partnership with Las Vegas Transitional Grant Area’s (LVTGA) Love Live Campaign, promises lively entertainment, food and beverage pop-ups, immersive photo-opps, and a sea of over-the-top black and white fashions.
As one of AFAN’s biggest fundraising events of the year, proceeds provide support and advocacy for adults and children living with and affected by HIV/AIDS in Southern Nevada.
Hosts Perez Hilton and Norma Llyaman will kick-off the party and introduce performances and appearances from Penn & Teller, Vanessa Vanjie Mateo from “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” Piranha Nightclub, Chippendales, Vegas! The Show, iLuminate, WOW- The Vegas Spectacular, ROUGE, Little Miss Nasty, Jennifer Romas’ Exxcite – The Show, GLAM! The FIERCEST Rooftop Party in Vegas, and DJ Axis.
Guests will enjoy their cuisine and cocktails poolside, with tastings provided by Scotch 80 Prime, Send Noodles, Vetri Cucina, Tim Ho Wan, La Popular, Nico’s Eats, El Luchador, Badass Coffee, Greens and Proteins, Breakthru Beverage, Herradura Tequila, and Diplomatico Rum.
Interactive activations and photo-opps will be throughout the venue including a disco ball wall, condom bar, silent auction of luxury goods and experiences, and “the secret of the red door.” As always, AFAN encourages guests to wear as much black and white as possible or as little as they can get away with.
“AFAN serves and advocates for those affected by homelessness, food insecurity, mental health issues, and HIV/AIDS,” said Antioco Carrillo, AFAN’s executive director. “By supporting and attending the Black & White Party, guests are supporting their fellow Nevadans and raising HIV/AIDS awareness. We are thankful to our new and existing partners for their dedication to our cause and for making this year’s event the best yet.”
Before the main event, AFAN will host a welcome reception at Ghostbar from 7-8 p.m. for VIP+ ticket holders, VIP table groups, sponsors, and invited guests. The “Club 37” experience, named after the Black & White Party’s anniversary year, will feature exclusive entertainment and an open bar. The main event will be held at Palms SOAK Pool and KAOS Nightclub from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. Piranha Nightclub will host the official Black & White afterparty.
