Brooklyn Bowl is thrilled to welcome back Polynesian reggae legend J Boog to the Bowl on Thursday, Sept. 14 for an evening of feel-good tunes and vibes.
Originally hailing from Compton, CA, J Boog’s passion for reggae music was ignited while on a Hawaiian vacation where he gave George “Fiji” Veikoso a copy of his mixtape. Leaving a lasting impression on Fiji, he agreed to collaborate with J Boog on his 2007 debut album “Hear Me Roar”, which peaked at number eight on the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart.
With Fiji as his mentor, J Boog fine-tuned his signature sound, seamlessly blending his west coast upbringing with his Polynesian roots, creating a unique blend that transcends continents.
J Boog went on to receive critical acclaim on his 2011 self-titled EP, peaking at number three on Billboard Reggae Albums Chart, followed by “Backyard Boogie” in 2011 and “Wash House Ting” in 2016.
Now a two-time GRAMMY nominee, J Boog has toured around the world, developing a universal following and winning over fans with his warm demeanor, impressive catalogue and intentional, feel-good music.
Tickets to J Boog at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas start at $32.50 and will be available online starting Friday, May 12 at 10 a.m. PST.
Live Nation presale begins Wednesday, May 10 at 10 a.m. PST, with venue presale kicking off on Thursday, May 11 at 10 a.m. PST.
