ImageWords Communications Principal, Ruth Furman, Honored as one of 2023 “Women Who Shine”

Long-time Las Vegas publicist and marketing professional among 18 women spotlighted

Ruth Furman, principal of Las Vegas-based ImageWords Communications, has been highlighted by Sunny 106.5 and iHeartMedia Las Vegas for its 2023 “Women Who Shine” honor.

Each year, during Women’s History Month, the award program recognizes 18 dynamic Las Vegas-based businesswomen who are leaders in their field and the community.

“It’s an honor to be recognized alongside these women,” Furman said. “My inspiration comes from connecting with so many strong businessmen and women every day. To be seen as a leader in my field is very humbling.”

Furman launched ImageWords in 2001 after working in corporate communications and journalism. ImageWords helps clients earn prominent placement in local, regional and high-profile national television, radio and podcast programs as well as print and online news publications. A go-to resource for journalists seeking experts, Furman works with a wide range of industries and generously gives her services to support nonprofits as well.

Along with the joys of seeing her clients succeed, Furman said she always strives to grow personally and professionally by conquering her own fears. For example, she recently, she went head-on with her fear of climbing stairs by scaling the 108 floors of the Strat Las Vegas at the Scale the Strat event. These experiences add value to her work.

“Right now, I am choosing to work with a few rather than many clients. This allows me to offer more one-on-one time. As a result, I get to know them more personally, and we end up supporting one another in fun ways beyond the professional relationship,” Furman added.
