Visitors and Locals Can Now Enjoy Yan-tastic Asian Dishes and Signature Brand of Entertainment on the Las Vegas Strip
James Beard Award Winner and public television star Chef Martin Yan brings his internationally loved style and Asian flavors to his first Las Vegas restaurant, M.Y. Asia in the newly rebranded Horseshoe Las Vegas on March 13.
The legendary chef’s restaurant brings elements of his decades-long career and extensive travels together, giving diners a true Yan-tastic experience with unique Yan-tertainment paired with impeccable food and beverage offerings.
The exhibition kitchen with a noodle-pulling chef and the only changing face kung-fu dance performance chef in Las Vegas will perform several times a night.
“It is an honor to partner with Caesars Entertainment and bring my Yan-energy to Las Vegas – exciting taste buds with diverse Pan-Asian cuisine,” said Chef Martin Yan. “My mission has always been to educate and entertain with food, so partnering with the leader in entertainment is the perfect choice!”
Cuisine That Spans A Continent
M.Y. Asia diners can enjoy traditional dishes from across Asia, crafted by Chef Yan and his team. With a touch of international whimsy, the menu features only the freshest quality ingredients.
Appetizers include Asian Pickled Vegetables Korean Style Kimchi and Vietnamese Style; Shrimp Lettuce Cups with shrimp, water chestnuts, onions, and green onions; and M.Y. Dim Sum Sampler with shiu mai, har gow, steamed BBQ pork bao, lotus leaf-wrapped rice, seafood dumplings, and farmer’s dumplings. Entrees include Thai Yellow Coconut Curry Chicken with Asian spices, potato, and carrots; Mu Shu Pork Tacos with Berkshire pork, cabbage, eggs, and Hoisin sauce; Sizzling Black Pepper Steak with mushrooms, onions, and asparagus; and Pan Seared Chilean Sea Bass marinated in Jasmine tea and seared and smoked with a miso ginger honey glaze.
“Having traveled through Korea and Japan in the North, to Thailand, Singapore and Vietnam in the South, and through the many fabulous food meccas in China and all over Asia, allowed me to fill my culinary treasure chest with unique, colorful, authentic and tasty dishes,” said Chef Martin Yan. “Those dishes will make up the M.Y. Asia menu, showcasing food in an exciting, entertaining, and nourishing way.”
The Lucky Bell Bar
The Lucky Bell Bar, a Yan signature, features classic cocktails, an extensive beer and wine menu, and offers a late-night lounge vibe on the weekends. Soon-to-become guest favorites are the Kasama Mama with rum, ginger liqueur, fresh lime, and orgeat syrup; M.Y. Paloma with tequila, yuzu liqueur, fresh lime sour, and sparkling pink grapefruit; and Lychee in Paradise with vodka, elderflower liqueur, fresh lemon juice, lychee juice, and Chandon Brut.
“We are delighted to welcome an award-winning chef to our culinary roster at Horseshoe,” said Jason Gregorec, SVP and General Manager of the resort. “M.Y. Asia is a fantastic dining option, and we can’t wait to introduce Chef Martin Yan’s talent and cuisine to our guests.”
A Dynamic Space
The 5,300-square-foot space is designed to create a casual atmosphere with rich, deep tones and textures, and contemporary Asian murals adorning the walls encompassing the fusion of Asian cuisine. Chef’s ‘Yan-tertainment’, noodle preparation, and open kitchen cooking will anchor the 150-seat restaurant. Guests can enjoy the private dining room, grab a seat at the noodle bar, browse through Chef Yan’s retail area featuring autograph books, cookware and merchandise, or just pick up their dinner from the restaurant’s food lockers.
As the first food lockers in Las Vegas, guests can order, pay, and pick their dishes from a warmed locker perfect for hotel guests seeking a non-contact experience or for those on the run.
