Vegas has been the home of MMA for some time now.
Boxing first arrived in Las Vegas during the 1950s, and as the casino scene grew around them, it became a destination for those wanting to enjoy the nightlife and watch the fights.
With sports book betting now legalised across the United States and more countries than ever bringing betting services online, including WynnBet Ohio, a new and extended audience is waiting with bated breath to see what super fights will be hosted in Las Vegas in 2023.
Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis vs Ryan Garcia
Ryan Garcia has already confirmed that there is a fight on the 7th of January against an unnamed appointment, and he recently confirmed that he would be taking on Gervonta Davis after that event is done. He spoke on Twitter about the match, saying, “I’m so pumped this fight is finally in place I want it more than anything right now. I’ve put in the work; I’m at the prime of my career, and I know I’m going to be the biggest boxer in the world. That legacy starts today.”
Davis counted and confirmed when he tweeted, “I’ll be back in the ring Jan 7; stay tuned for more details! After that, it’s me and Ryan signed, sealed, delivered…done deal!” Fans will be aware that this fight has been a long time coming, and Stephen Espinoza, the Showtimes Sports president, said it was a credit that both men had committed to ensuring the fight took place despite factors complicating the situation.
Errol Spence Jr vs Terence Crawford
Crawford has just won his fight, knocking out David Avanesyan in his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska. However, that did not stop reporters from wanting to know when the clash against Errol Spence, a unified welterweight champion, would take place.
Crawford responded that he hoped to see the mega bout bought to reality during 2023. Unfortunately, while Crawford was in the ring, Spence was involved in an accident in his car but was reported to be unharmed.
Crawford wished him well in his interview after his match and said he would never take sport outside of the Ring and that his fellow fighter was in his thoughts.
Deontay Wilder vs. Andy Ruiz Jr
Another match set for 2023 will be Deontay Wilder and Anthony Ruiz Jr, as the WBC has been officially ordered to set the fight. The winner will be Tyson Fury’s next mandatory challenger. For now, the date remains unconfirmed, but the two have previously spoken of their desire to get in the Ring together.
Wilder watched Ruiz Jr as he triumphed over Ortiz and said, “Deontay Wilder is back; we are always looking for great and exciting fights. If that’s what lies up next, I’ve gotta handle business, but after that, we can get it on.” The counter from Ruiz Jr was, “We’re in the same organisation. I wanna thank Al Haymon. We can make this fight happen, and let’s do it; let’s get it on.”
