Former WWE superstar, Bill Goldberg, was recently in town for the SEMA car show, but had to spend his spare time at his all-time favorite hotel – Circa Resort & Casino.
After meeting with numerous brands and countless fans at the Las Vegas Convention Center, he encountered even more wrestling fanatics at downtown hotspot. Once all the craziness that comes with being an icon came to an end, Bill escaped to his beautiful and relaxing Circa suite to unwind and recharge.
During Goldberg’s stay, he dined at the resort’s acclaimed steakhouse, Barry’s Downtown Prime. Restaurant co-owner/namesake, Chef Barry S Dakake, gave the star an up close and personal tour of the inner working of Vegas’ most talked about steakhouse. Though Bill was truly loving every minute of the kitchen tour, one thing in particular caught his eye. Chef Barry found him having a good ol’ time in the giant meat locker, and a hilarious Instagram reel surfaced where Barry attempted to muscle Bill out of there, but the 6 ft. 4 powerhouse was too busy sniffin’ steaks.
As dinner concluded, Goldberg got together with his friend/Circa Executive, Richard Wilk, who escorted him over to the longest indoor bar in Nevada – Mega Bar. There, he met up with Circa Owner/CEO, Derek Stevens, and his daughter/Director of Player Development, Whitney Godard.
If there’s one thing Goldberg loves more than anything else, is having fun with his fans. This was evident when he nonchalantly lifted Circa VP David Rosborough as if he were one of his many championship belts!
One of the biggest names in MMA, Michael Bisping, was spotted at the downtown resort as well. From being a sports analyst, to a retired MMA fighter, to a UFC commentator, there isn’t much this guy can’t do. His successful 13-year fighting career ended in 2017; however, he’s still been busy starring in several films, and releasing his 2019 book, Quitters Never Win: My Life in UFC.
Bisping also dined at Barry’s Downtown Prime with his lovely wife, Rebecca, to celebrate her birthday. The ambiance of this well-renowned steakhouse paired perfectly with the romantic celebration they had in mind. The couple’s entrees were personally prepared by Chef Barry himself, and they were eager to sink their teeth into some sweet desserts.
They decided on two classics – the New York cheesecake and the banana cream pie. Following their top-notch meal, the chef walked them over to one of the most famous rooms in the whole establishment, the wine cellar (which doubles as quite an amazing photo op).
Later on in the celebrity-filled Circa week, casino executive Richard Wilk met with former NASCAR driver and owner of Richard Childress Racing – Richard Childress. Childress was in town to catch up with his close buddy who happens to be another co-owner of Barry’s Downtown Prime, Donald Rihn.
The pair caught up at the buzz-worthy restaurant and feasted on surf & turf, consisting of a 22 oz. lobster and a 12 oz. rib cap with filet medallions, Main lobster truffle aioli, and a yummy red wine sauce.
Vegas is quite a busy star-studded city, but it seems like Circa Resort & Casino is responsible for most of it.
