The Golden Tiki Beverage Director Adam Rains crafts the World’s Largest Mai Tai
The Golden Tiki, Las Vegas’ beloved Chinatown tiki bar, broke the world record for the Largest Mai Tai amidst a packed house on Tuesday, August 30, 2022.
The event was the culmination of a week-long celebration commemorating the legendary tiki bar’s seventh anniversary.

Many hands were on deck to help pour more than 300 bottles of alcohol which were feverishly mixed by Beverage Director Adam Rains. It took a little more than 30 minutes to build the 100-gallon cocktail in front of a live crowd.

The final product weighed in at more than 900 lbs. and well surpassed the previous record of 55 gallons. The monumental feat was witnessed and certified by Raul Faria, president of the USBGLV.
Immediately following the creation of this libation, two fountains were filled with the record-breaking cocktail for party guests to enjoy as DJ After School Special spun all the surf exotica hits.

Anniversary events held earlier in the week included daily themed parties and celebrity head shrinkings including the Kuippo Kid, Damian Smith, Legends of Rock Paul Shortino and Phil Soussan, as well as Atreyu (Noah Gallagher) and Falkor from “The Neverending Story,” and mixology legend Livio Lauro.
