The Nevada State Treasurer’s Office hosted a back-to-school fair at the Grant Sawyer State Office Building where 600 backpacks filled with supplies were gifted to students for the upcoming school year.
Attendees received backpacks filled with necessary school supplies such as notebooks, folders, pencils and more as well as informational materials with details on how to plan and save for higher education through the Nevada State Treasurer’s Office.
In addition to the supplies and resources, attendees also received back-to-school immunizations, free ice cream and prizes totaling over $1,000 that were raffled off throughout the event.
“We are honored to be able to assist students and their families get the tools they need to make this upcoming school year a success,” said Nevada State Treasurer Zach Conine. “Seeing the smiling faces of the families in attendance was truly heartwarming. I’d like to thank all our community partners for their support in making this event a success.”
