“Our team is thrilled to give back to the community of Southern Nevada through the back-to-school fair,” said Nevada State Treasurer Zach Conine.
“We are grateful to work with amazing community partners that aid in our commitment of making education a realistic option for every Nevadan. We encourage families to stop by and gather school supplies for the upcoming school year.”
Nevada students who attend will receive backpacks filled with school supplies for the upcoming school year and information on resources to assist families plan, save and pay for secondary education.
Attendees will also receive free ice cream and a chance to win prizes totaling over $1000. Free back-to-school immunizations will also be available. Supplies are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The Nevada State Treasurer’s Office will host the event with support from After School All-Stars Las Vegas, Boy & Girls Club of Southern Nevada, Clark County School District, The City of Las Vegas, Immunize Nevada, Smith’s Pharmacy, Power 88.1 KCEP-FM, Clark County School District Engagement Unit, Las Vegas-Clark County Library District, Parenting Project, Clark County School District Police Department, The City of Las Vegas Parks & Recreation, Project 150, Safekey, UNLV School of Dental Medicine, UNLV Educational Outreach, Three Square, Las Vegas Urban League and the YMCA.
