Go BEST! is teaming up with CORE to collect donation items for a back-to-school supply drive. Donation items that are being collected include backpacks, blue/black pens, two pocket folders, zipper pencil pouches, spiral notebooks, 1.5” binders, #2 mechanical pencils, college ruled paper, highlighters, ¼” graph paper and gift cards.
CORE is a Las Vegas-based 501(c)3 that believes all children have the right to reach their full potential and pursue individual success. Their mission is to strengthen character, build brilliant minds and create brighter futures for the community’s most under-resourced youth.
“Education is the key to success and it is our duty as Southern Nevadans to ensure that we are supporting our young people by setting them up for success,” said Andrea Woods, Director Of Community Relations for Go BEST!. “This partnership is about combining resources to ensure that our local students start the school year right by supporting their path to learning.”
When and Where: School supplies can be dropped off at Clifford O Findlay Middle School, 333 W Tropical Pkwy, North Las Vegas, NV 89031 between 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 21st.
