Lee Canyon’s Mountain Fest, a one-day celebration of outdoor recreation and music, is Saturday, June 25, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Live music starts at noon; bands in order of performance are The Smokestacks (traditional blues), The Shmarties (classic rock), Zach Ryan’s Honk Tonk Trio (country), and Indigo Kidd, an alternative pop trio. Mountain Fest is an all-ages event. Admission is free to live music and base area activities like Lee Canyon’s annual Crosscut Log Sawing competition, a vendor village, and food trucks.
Experiences like the beer garden featuring Able Baker Brewing, axe throwing, and scenic chairlift rides, require tickets. Birdies & Beers Disc Golf CompetitionTee Times: 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. | $40Awards: 5 p.m. Now in its eighth year, this 18-hole disc golf competition is a local’s favorite, catering to avid and beginner disc golfers alike. Competitors age 21 and over can enjoy a craft beer station on every fourth tee. All registrants receive a Mountain Fest stainless steel pint tumbler. Axe Throws for Charity10 a.m. to 6 p.m. | $5 donation
Every ticket buys guests two axe throws to benefit the Mount Charleston Volunteer Fire Department. Participants have a chance to win special prizes, and 100% of the proceeds go to the fire department.
