Specialty coffee house will bring signature premium coffee, paninis, pastries and more to much-anticipated mixed-use community
UnCommons, the $400 million, 40-acre mixed-use community by Matter Real Estate Group, will be home to local favorite, The Coffee Class, a specialty coffee house serving premium coffee, paninis, pastries and more. Opening this fall at the much-anticipated urban campus in southwest Las Vegas, this will mark The Coffee Class’s third location, joining its first location in southeast Las Vegas and second location opening soon in East Henderson.
Occupying a nearly 1,200-square-foot space, The Coffee Class will serve world-class coffee made with exceptional care, in addition to elevated breakfast, pastries and brunch dishes. Created in 2019 by Las Vegas resident Kyle Cunningham and his executive chef, Beth Ryan-Small, The Coffee Class has cultivated a loyal following for its thoughtful approach to coffee, popular pastries, plentiful vegan options and elevated lattes.
“Coffee houses have always been about embracing their local community and connecting with those who live and work in it,” said Cunningham. “Whether you’re enjoying a great meal with friends or popping in for grab-and-go items before work, The Coffee Class will be a welcoming place to visit with the exceptional food, drinks and service our guests have come to expect.”
The Coffee Class offers a variety of specialty drinks, including the Blue Blossom Latte crafted with lavender, honey, coconut, and steamed milk with butterfly pea flower extract; Mexican mocha made with espresso, steamed milk, house-made chocolate sauce, and spicy chile de árbol vanilla syrup; and many more. All drinks are customized to suit dietary restrictions with the option to use whole milk, half and half, oat milk, almond milk, and more. The beloved coffee house prides itself on drinks that are subtly sweetened with house-made syrups; with the option of adding more sweetness to patrons’ tastes.
In addition to its diverse beverage menu, patrons can expect a full roster of scratch-made pastries, savory dishes, and desserts all made fresh in-house. Each location has a different spin on Chef Ryan-Small’s signature baked crème brûlée French toast, made with egg brioche soaked in a custard base with maple syrup, in addition to fresh baked croissants, a rotating selection of seasonal scones, cookies and savory pastry options. The Coffee Class also serves a variety of vegan-friendly options, such as its scratch-made biscuit and gravy made with Impossible sausage gravy, and an array of vegan pastries that change all the time: such as pumpkin pop tarts, pistachio raspberry and more. Vegan grilled cheese paninis and ham and fig paninis are also popular choices.
“Founded locally, The Coffee Class has created a unique niche in the community through the attention and care they give to everything from carefully crafted coffees to their extraordinary house-made pastries,” said Matter Real Estate Group Partner Jim Stuart. “We are thrilled to welcome The Coffee Class to UnCommons and to southwest Las Vegas.”
UnCommons will reimagine the workplace experience with market-leading design and technology, floor-to-ceiling windows that welcome daylight and views of the natural Las Vegas surroundings, breakout spaces for individual work or small group collaboration. The campus will set the foundation for a thriving, inspiring workplace by bringing together multiple fitness studios, common open-air areas, contemporary residential units, and a mélange of food and beverage options. Future phases will bring UnCommons to more than 500,000 square feet of modern office space built with distinctive architectural features and the latest safety innovations, as well as a conference center that can host small meetings and workshops, and more.
