To celebrate Bugsy Siegel’s 116th birthday, El Cortez Hotel & Casino is reimaging a classic with Bugsy’s Old Fashioned. Featuring bourbon, bitters, simple syrup, an orange slice and maraschino cherry, the libation was said to be enjoyed often by the notorious American mobster.
As a one-time owner of the longest continuously running hotel in Las Vegas, Bugsy helped define what casinos and resorts are today. Having been the mastermind behind the now iconic Flamingo Las Vegas, Bugsy is known for ruling the Mob-era of Las Vegas and paving the way for the Las Vegas Strip.
Available February 21 – 28 for $7, guests can visit the Parlour Bar & Lounge or Ike’s at El Cortez to take a step back in time and enjoy this timeless cocktail.
