Kick off the New Year at Glittering Lights with Fireworks and an East Coast Countdown

Family-friendly NYE celebration at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Glittering Lights presented by Goettl Air Conditioning and Plumbing at Las Vegas Motor Speedway will host an east coast new year’s firework celebration on Dec. 31, 2021, at 9:00 p.m. to ring in 2022. The community is invited to this family-friendly event to drive through millions of lights before or after a spectacular firework show.

NYE guests will experience the valley’s favorite holiday light show with more than 600 animated and sparkling displays and more than 5 million festive LED lights that intertwine through a 2.5-mile drivable course at the Speedway. In addition to the magical firework show with the Las Vegas city lights in the background, attendees will also enjoy holiday music, hot chocolate served by local Boy Scout troops, kettle corn, and more.

New Year’s Eve Event Timeline:

4:30PM Glittering Lights opens
8:30PM Entry pauses, guests line up for firework show, best viewing at attraction entry
9:00PM Fireworks Entry into the Glittering Lights attraction resumes following firework show
10:00PM Glittering Lights closes

Glittering Lights is open through Jan. 9, 2022. Guests are invited to load up the car with family and friends for a safe drive through the lights from the comfort and safety of their car.

To get the full experience, guests will see the Glittering Lights’ Sports Alley Tribute display that highlights the Las Vegas Raiders, Vegas Golden Knights, Henderson Silver Knights, Las Vegas Lights, Las Vegas Aviators, Las Vegas Aces, UNLV Rebels, UFC, and, of course, the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

A portion of every ticket sold benefits Speedway Children’s Charities, providing funding for children’s charities throughout Southern Nevada. Additionally, Goodwill of Southern Nevada offers a $5 discounted entry voucher for Glittering Lights with a donation of clothing or household items. Area Boy Scout Troops sell concessions at the lights to gain interpersonal, money management and leadership skills while earning money for their activities.
