She is admitted to practice before all Nevada and Colorado state courts, the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado. She has represented business owners, developers, and contractors in a variety of complex matters. Ms. Thomas offers extensive experience in the preparation and review of contracts related to commercial construction projects, representing both owners and builders. She also has extensive experience litigating construction related disputes involving mechanics liens, payment, delay, and defective work, and representing contractors with administrative issues involving licensing and contractors’ board complaints. Outside of the construction area, her background has included preparing contracts for small businesses, including but not limited to operating agreements, non-disclosure agreements, independent contractor agreements, vendor agreements, and litigating contract disputes.
She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in history from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and Juris Doctor cum laude from the William S. Boyd School of Law. Ms. Thomas was an articles editor for the Nevada Law Journal and served an externship with a justice on the Supreme Court of Nevada. A member of the American Bar Association and other professional groups, Ms. Thomas has had several articles published on construction law topics. She has also been selected to be an Associate Fellow with the Construction Litigation Society of America. Prior to joining Mead Law Group, Ms. Thomas was an Associate Attorney at Snell & Wilmer LLP in both its Las Vegas and Denver offices and Jolley Urga Woodbury & Holthus in Las Vegas.
