Friday, Nov. 5, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Sammy Hagar was joined on stage by Rock & Roll Hall of Famer and founding member of the legendary Grateful Dead, Bob Weir, during the third night of the sold-out “Sammy Hagar & Friends” residency at The STRAT Hotel, Casino & SkyPod.
Hagar and Weir performed with Hagar’s Band, The Wabos, featuring guitarist Vic Johnson, drummer David Lauser and bassist Mona Gnader.
The crowd erupted when Weir joined The Wabos on stage to perform Grateful Dead classics, “Not Fade Away” and “Good Lovin’,” as well as Depeche Mode’s “Personal Jesus.” Fans sang along to Hagar’s hits including “I Can’t Drive 55” and “There’s Only One Way to Rock,” as well as a rockin’ rendition of Toby Keith’s “I Love This Bar.”
Sammy brings his signature beach vibe to The STRAT Theater with his new sparking rum cocktails, Sammy’s Beach Bar Cocktail Co. as well as Cabo San Lucas-themed décor.
It’s been a busy fall for Hagar, who launched Sammy’s Beach Bar Cocktail Co. in late September with a history-making show – the first rooftop performance for people on the Las Vegas Strip. Made with Hagar’s award-winning Beach Bar Rum, the canned top-shelf sparkling rum cocktails are sweetened with agave and made with all natural ingredients. They come in four playful twists on classic flavors: Tangerine Dream, Island Pop, Cherry Kola Chill and Pineapple Splash. Available now in California and Nevada, Hagar is rolling out the Sammy’s Beach Bar Cocktail Co. in the Lone Star State in December with “A Toast to Texas,” where he will perform shows in Fort Worth, San Antonio, Austin and Houston. More information and tickets are available at RedRocker.com.
Produced by industry leader, SPI Entertainment and Hagar’s manager, Tom Consolo, of TC Management, “Sammy Hagar & Friends” sold out each show in under two hours. New dates will be announced for 2022.
