Corner Bar Management will unveil Museum Fiasco, a reimagined museum designed to cultivate an immersive sound and light experience, at AREA15 on Friday, Nov. 13. Museum Fiasco will come to life with ‘Cluster,’ an award-winning installation by Playmodes Studio that will run through 2022.
Located on the mezzanine of AREA15, the world’s first purpose-built experiential art and entertainment complex, the 5,000-square-foot gallery was conceptualized and designed by Corner Bar founder, Ryan Doherty. Museum Fiasco will showcase futuristic exhibits, audio-visual experiences, art and hospitality in a space that will foster a sense of connectivity for visitors.
“Museum Fiasco is an assault on the senses,” said Doherty. “It is a blank canvas for exhibitions like Cluster, a multi-sensory masterpiece by the incredible group behind Playmodes, that immerses you into a story that is brought to life through technology.”
Cluster pushes boundaries in light, technology and creativity in a large-scale audio-visual experience, presenting a dynamic, interactive show that engages the senses. The virtuosic play tells a story through a collection of lights that strobe in harmony with the extraordinary soundscape. The 360-degree experience explores the chaotic feeling of being inside the kernel of a glitchy computer processor.
Located in the heart of Las Vegas and minutes from the Strip, AREA15 offers immersive activations, monumental art installations, socially-distanced events, extraordinary design elements, unique retail, groundbreaking technology, bars, eateries and much more. The complex also offers nearly 40,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space with more than 800 free parking spaces.
AREA15 follows the latest recommendations of leading health experts and government authorities, including the World Health Organization and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. And true to the insatiable hunger for all things inventive and groundbreaking, AREA15 is using cutting-edge, state-of-the-art technology to help implement these recommendations, including an AI-driven thermal scanning platform that screens temperature accurately and non-invasively, detects the absence of a mask, and alerts staff when social distancing thresholds are not being met.
Museum Fiasco is one of four new imaginative concepts that have been revealed by Corner Bar this year, which include Oddwood at AREA15; Lucky Day and DISCOPUSSY, located in Fremont Street’s East Entertainment District. Corner Bar will unveil two new concepts, We All Scream and Cheapshot, in early 2021.
Museum Fiasco, located inside AREA15 at 3215 S. Rancho Dr., will be open 4 to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 4 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday. Cluster is likely to sell out throughout the coming months and reservations in advance are highly encouraged. Tickets are available on the AREA15 website at $25 for adults, $15 for children ages 12 and under and $20 for Las Vegas locals, military and seniors.
