The Sand Dollar Lounge hosted the world live debut of Pauly Shore and The Crustys on Monday, October 18 at 10 p.m. during the month-long Nightmare on Spring Mountain pop up.
Fans of ‘the Wiez’ packed the small local blues bar to hear the popular actor and comedian perform for the first time ever in public with his group of hand-selected seasoned veteran Crusty musicians.
The band performed classic cover hits such as “Rocket Man,” and “Celebrity Skin,” in front of a live audience for the first time. One highlight from the evening included a surprise guest appearance from local performer Sabrina Coleman, who performs in Purple Reign at Tropicana Las Vegas. Shore pulled Coleman on stage to sing a powerful rendition of “Gimme Shelter” with the band. Pauly also donned a few creative props for certain songs. The show-stopping finale, “Fight For Your Right to Party” by The Beastie Boys, had the whole room in an uproar dancing and singing along… wanting more.
Until now, Pauly Shore and The Crustys featuring Bill Degillio on guitar, Richard Wells on keyboard, Eddie Fickett on drums, and Norm Roberts on bass, have been a garage band, literally. Their performances in Shore’s garage can be viewed on Shore’s YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok to give those curious a taste of their inimitable style. The band was literally assembled by Shore from musicians performing at the Sand Dollar under various guises.
