Girl Scouts to Take Part in a Learning Experience with Multipure Female Scientists and Earn a Custom STEAM Patch
Through this partnership, Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada will take part in learning activities with Multipure’s Microbiologist, Juana Garcia and Laboratory Services Manager, Tam Quy to gain a greater understanding of drinking water science and the workings of laboratory testing research.
During Multipure’s program, Girl Scouts will spend time in the chemistry and microbiology labs taking part in activities such as testing water samples for contaminants and fingerprints for bacteria.
Multipure International and Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada are dedicated to encouraging young girls to pursue their dreams and show them women are successful in STEAM fields by encountering them first-hand. The educational experiences can inspire young girls to become future scientists, engineers, leaders and environmental stewards.
