The Negroni is a fascinating classic cocktail that originated, and is very popular, in Italy.
It more recently found popularity in the U.S. as the bartender’s after-shift drink. During Negroni Week (now – Sept. 19), bars (and bartenders) across the country are raising a glass to this classic cocktail, and donating a portion of proceeds from each Negroni sold to charity. This year 100+ Las Vegas bars & restaurants are participating, and each location chooses the charity they wish to support.
Here’s what some venues are offering:
- Al Solito Posto led the charge locally last night by partnering with Campari to host the Official Las Vegas Negroni Week Kick-Off Party. For the entire week they have transformed their patio into a lounge with a satellite bar, selfie station, and music dedicated to this event. They are offering three variations of the Negroni and an Aperol Spritz to benefit Keep Memory Alive.
- Esther’s Kitchen – All classic Negronis sold will benefit the USBG Foundation Bartender Emergency Assistance Program.
- Sparrow + Wolf – Chef Brian Howard and three of his staff have created four original Negronis to benefit Slow Food International.
- The Sand Dollar Lounge – Las Vegas iconic late night music venue is offering a special Mango Negroni benefitting the Helen David Relief Fund.
