Credit One Bank, a Las Vegas-based financial services company, presented Communities In Schools of Southern Nevada a check for $1,900, along with over 1,500 school supplies including: backpacks, containers of Clorox and Lysol spray, packages of pens and pencils, notebooks, packages of highlighters, and more that were donated by Bank employees for the non-profit’s ninth annual Fill the Bus event.
The annual school supply drive provides Clark County School District students and their families with the tools they need, which is more important than ever as they recover from the impact of COVID-19 school closures and return for a new academic school year.
“This is our fourth year participating in Communities In Schools of Southern Nevada’s Fill the Bus event,” said Todd Mayhew, senior vice president of human resources at Credit One Bank. “Each year I’m amazed by the incredible support from our employees and their commitment to ensuring that Las Vegas students are prepared for the start of the upcoming school year.”
