Two-night summer concert series takes place at the Water Street Plaza Amphitheatre August 14 and August 28
City of Henderson today announced the lineup for its August Nights Summer Concert Series – a live two-night concert series featuring sizzling Latin music from Grammy-nominated artists and acclaimed musicians including Plena Libre and Kiki Valera y Su Son Cubano.
The August Nights Summer Concert Series at the Water Street Plaza Amphitheatre kicks off with Plena Libre on Saturday, August 14 at 8 p.m. Plena Libre, direct from San Juan, Puerto Rico, is a four-time Grammy-nominated Afro-Rican band playing African, Spanish and Caribbean influenced music.
The second performance in the concert series will feature Kiki Valera y Su Son Cubano on Saturday, August 28 at 8 p.m. Originally from Santiago de Cuba, Valera is a fourth-generation descendent of Cuba’s famed Familia Valera Miranda ensemble. He is a multi-instrumentalist and composer best known as one of the world’s greatest players of the Cuban Cuatro.
Presented by the City of Henderson, the August Nights Summer Concert Series will take place at the Water Street Plaza Amphitheatre on August 14 and 28 at 8 p.m. Tickets for each concert are $5 and can be purchased in advanced online at cityofhenderson.com. Seating is first-come, first-served.
