April is Financial Literacy Month and today, April 22, is National Teach Children to Save Day.
Today, Silver State Schools Credit Union joined Girls Athletic Leadership School to teach the 6-8th grade girls about financial literacy and saving money.
The kids also got $25.00 to open their first Junior Savings Account. The one-of-a-kind financial literacy program simulates a traditional banking experience. The emphasis is on teaching the students about saving money, goal setting, and real world application. Students learn a better understanding of how to make smart financial decisions.
