Vegas Stand Up & Rock showcases live entertainment at OYO Hotel & Casino, located at 115 E. Tropicana Ave., just footsteps from the Las Vegas Strip and MGM Grand. New to this month’s lineup, the venue will host Poetry in Motion featuring Demitri Manabat, rock lovers can gather for the sounds of Dio Rising and comedy fanatics can attend the Life Style Comedy Show.
This month Vegas Stand Up & Rock debuts a new residency show, Tony Bennett & Friends Tribute Show, all about the legendary Tony Bennett. Tickets prices start at $10 for live music performances, full lineup and ticket sales available on the website.
Vegas Stand Up & Rock Lineup
- Wednesday through Sunday at 2 p.m.: Las Vegas Stripper School
Class is in session at the Las Vegas Stripper School. The “curriculum” will teach guests the art of pole dancing, with classes offered to groups of all sizes, no experience necessary. “Enrollment” options include general admission, VIP admission which includes two drinks with the class, private classes for groups or bring the class straight to your hotel room. General admission tickets are $59 plus taxes and fees, VIP tickets are priced at $69 plus taxes and fees. - Thursday through Sunday at 7 p.m., starting Friday, March 15: Tony Bennett & Friends Tribute Show
Within the brilliant cast is producer and performer Andrew Van Slee, as Tony Bennett. Van Slee is an amazing producer known for sending his clients to pop stardom and has toured the nation portraying the roles of Frank Sinatra and Bobby Darren. Makayla Philips does it all as an actress, singer, model and dancer. She is an America’s Got Talent gold buzzer winner and brings captivating vocals to the cast as Lady Gaga. “Iconic Soul” star, Dru Young, comes from Southern California and mesmerizes the crowd with his soulful voice as Stevie Wonder and Sammy Davis. Connor Ross joins the cast from Utah, with his silky-smooth voice, as the timeless Michael Bublé. This show will never grow old with its diverse and talented cast that varies at each performance.

On select nights, live music and comedy takes over the 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. slots, produced in conjunction with Outlaw Entertainment, from producers, promoters and brothers Jason and Ray Outlaw.

- Wednesday, March 27 at 8 p.m.: Poetry In Motion
Poetry in Motion will showcase “The Poet’s Pen” featuring Demetri Manabat. Hosted and curated by Sadie the “Poetry Princess” with DK Grey, TruSarah, Le Soul and Kreativekenn. This event celebrates beautiful poetry with music, drinks, games and local vendors. Manabat is a rising word artist born and raised in Las Vegas and is a 12-time Slam Champion who has performed across the nation. He has been recognized by Upworthy and the Associated Press for his work and has been featured on the prestigious Voices in Power stage. He has accumulated over 15 million views on his personal social media platforms for his poetry.
- Friday, March 29 at 9 p.m.: Dio Rising
Dio Rising is a Las Vegas premiere tribute band to the life and music of Ronnie James Dio. The band covers all aspects of Dio’s career, from the early days of “Rainbow” and “Elf” to the quintessential lineup of Black Sabbath, to the band simply known as Dio. Alongside special guest Suburban Resistance, the night is sure to rock.
- Saturday, March 30 at 9 p.m.: Life Style Comedy Show
Hosted by “Dirty” Dan Hall, headliner Kris Shaw featuring Angie Krum and other special guests will present a night of slightly dirty comedy and lots of fun.
