The world’s largest casino chip and token collection, as recognized by Guinness World Records, will proudly be on display at the Casino Collectibles Association’s 28 the annual show June 17-19, 2021, at the South Point Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
Featuring museum-like exhibits and over 50 invited dealers of casino memorabilia from all over the world, the public is invited to join in the fun of examining, buying, selling, trading or even evaluating casino collectibles and mementos.
Since casinos first opened, people have been pocketing gaming table chips as souvenirs, a routine that grew into a passionate hobby. This pastime has sparked collectors’ interests in nearly everything casino related, including gaming tokens, dice, slot cards, playing cards, matchbooks, menus, dinnerware, swizzle sticks, post cards and more. “Just about everything that you could imagine with a casino name on it is collected, and will be on display at our show,” said Jerry Vergatos, President of the Casino Collectibles Association.
Show attendees will find displays dedicated to casino chip categories such as rare chips, roulette chips, counterfeit chips, illegal casino chips, odd denomination chips and collections dedicated to sports and even aliens. “Collectors have provided a rich history of casinos all over the world. They’ve researched the back roads and tiny casinos and written books documenting the history of gaming. If you find casinos – and specifically casino history – a fascinating topic, this show is a must-see event,” added Vergatos.
Registered show attendees can also take in the four planned educational seminars, or participate in a live auction of hundreds of casino chips and other casino memorabilia.
The Casino Chips and Collectibles Show registration and admission is open to the public June 17, 9 AM – 5 PM (admission $10), June 18, 9 AM – 4 PM (admission $5) and June 19, 9 AM – 4 PM (admission is free). Location is Exhibit Hall C at the South Point Hotel Casino, 9777 Las Vegas Blvd. South, Las Vegas, Nevada.
