Circa Resort & Casino Helps Local Couple Hit Unofficial World Record
John and Kristina Mehaffey Place 93 Bets Throughout Las Vegas in Under 24 Hours to Beat Previous Record
Circa Resort & Casino helped a local couple set an unofficial world record of placing a bet at the most casinos in under 24 hours. It was all part of an anniversary celebration for John and Kristina Mehaffey who were married on October 5, 2002.

When the couple saw that their wedding anniversary was turning 21, they decided to do something special since their marriage would be “old enough to gamble.”
The Mehaffeys identified 75 properties throughout the Las Vegas area that they wanted to place a bet at to break the record that was in place. To make their dream a reality, Circa Resort & Casino stepped in to provide transportation.
The couple began their journey Wednesday afternoon by placing the very first bet at the historic Golden Gate Hotel and Casino before making their way down Fremont Street. The Mehaffeys continued their journey throughout the night – placing bets at properties along the strip and throughout the Las Vegas area. They played a pattern of keno numbers significant to their anniversary and their journey.
The couple placed the final bet at Circa Resort & Casino which marked their 93rd total stop overall. This broke the previous record of 75. The couple ended the evening with a surprise celebration up at Legacy Club once their marriage was officially 21 – the age of entrance allowed for Circa’s stunning rooftop lounge.
