Earlier this week, Rebuilding Together of Southern Nevada (RTSNV) hosted their annual “Swing Fore Safe Homes” fundraising event.
In total, RTSNV raised nearly $80,000 in funds furthering the organization’s mission of providing safe and healthy housing for low-income seniors, veterans and people living with disabilities across the valley.
Also, on National Make a Difference Day on October 28, RTSNV will be hosting various volunteer events with community partners to revitalize homes to neighbors in need.
Rebuilding Together of Southern Nevada (RTSNV) is a nonprofit organization based in Southern Nevada, United States, that focuses on providing critical home repairs and renovations to low-income homeowners, veterans, seniors, and individuals with disabilities.
The organization’s mission is to improve the safety, health, and well-being of vulnerable individuals and families by making necessary home improvements.
Here are some key points about RTSNV:
Home Repairs and Renovations: RTSNV primarily works on repairing and renovating the homes of those in need. This can include tasks like fixing structural issues, electrical and plumbing repairs, installing ramps for wheelchair accessibility, and making homes more energy-efficient.
Volunteer-Based: Like many other Rebuilding Together affiliates, RTSNV relies heavily on volunteers who donate their time, skills, and resources to help with home improvement projects. Volunteers can include skilled tradespeople, contractors, and community members who want to make a positive impact in their community.
Target Recipients: RTSNV typically assists individuals and families who are struggling to afford necessary home repairs. This often includes low-income households, veterans, the elderly, and people with disabilities.
Community Impact: The work of RTSNV not only improves the living conditions of the homeowners it serves but also has a broader positive impact on the community by revitalizing neighborhoods, increasing property values, and enhancing the overall quality of life in Southern Nevada.
Funding: Nonprofit organizations like RTSNV rely on a combination of funding sources, including donations from individuals, grants, corporate sponsorships, and fundraising events to support their mission.
