Deadline for nonprofits to submit entries is October 9
Starting today, Boyd Gaming invites nonprofit organizations across Southern Nevada to submit their entry to participate in one of Las Vegas’ favorite holiday traditions, Wreaths of Hope.
In total, 38 selected local charities will compete in the wreath-decorating competition at Aliante, Cannery, Gold Coast, Jokers Wild, Sam’s Town, Suncoast, The Orleans and Main Street Station.
Boyd Gaming customers can vote for their favorite decorated wreath at each participating destination starting Monday, November 20 through Friday, December 15 as local charities compete for the top prize at each property.
This holiday season, Boyd Gaming will award nearly $70,000 to nonprofits throughout the Las Vegas Valley. The top-performing charities at each participating Boyd Gaming property will be awarded a grand prize, with a guaranteed minimum cash prize of $1,000 for all participating organizations. A second contest via social media will add another opportunity for charities to win additional cash awards.
Applicants must represent a certified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving the southern Nevada community.
Proof of tax-exempt status, such as a copy of a Form W-9 or IRS determination letter confirming the nonprofit’s 501(c)(3) status, as well as a description of the charity must be provided when submitting an entry.
Charities can submit an entry via email to WreathsOfHopeLV@boydgaming.com by Monday, October 9.
Selected nonprofits will receive an invitation to join Wreaths of Hope in mid-October.
