The Henderson Fire Department (HFD) is accepting applications for Firefighter and Firefighter-Paramedic now through Sept. 7. Applications are open to qualifying applicants 18 years old.
HFD is a full-service, all-hazards emergency response organization that provides safe and effective fire suppression management, emergency medical services, patient transport, technical rescue, hazardous materials response, and search and rescue services for the City’s recreational trail system.
There are 12 fire stations within HFD’s jurisdiction, with a 13th station planned in West Henderson. In 2022, HFD responded to 41,438 calls for service.
HFD strongly encourages camaraderie, professional development, career growth, and training opportunities and emphasizes mental health and wellness through readily available resources and support.
Applicants who apply must be committed to upholding HFD’s vision of being America’s premier fire department through its mission to provide exceptional public services because people matter.
Those 16 to 21 years old interested in learning more about the fire service can join the Henderson Fire Department Explorer program. Enrollment is open year-round.
