50 Free Pizzas, Live Music and Games on National Cheese Pizza Day
Arizona Charlie’s Decatur, located at 740 S. Decatur Blvd., will celebrate the grand opening of River Rock Pizza & Pasta, a rockin’ new Italian restaurant, on National Cheese Pizza Day with lively festivities including a pizza cutting ceremony, live music, 50 free pizzas, games and giveaways including free pizza for a year, an autographed guitar by a member of the Goo Goo Dolls, and more from 3 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 5.
River Rock will kickstart its grand opening celebration with a pizza-cutting ceremony at 3 p.m., where leadership and special guests will cut into a larger-than-life slice of pizza.
Following the ceremony, the first 50 guests at River Rock will receive a free 16-inch cheese pizza.
Adding to the excitement, all guests in attendance who sign up for True Rewards, a free-to-join rewards program, in addition to current True Rewards members, will be entered into a raffle for the chance to win one of three giveaway prizes, which include: one free pizza every month for a year; dinner for two at River Rock with an overnight stay in a suite at Arizona Charlie’s Decatur; and a Squier Stratocaster guitar by Fender signed by a member of the Goo Goo Dolls.
The restaurant will also invite guests to play “Toss the Meatball,” where they can toss a plush meatball on a pizza gameboard to win prizes, such as River Rock T-shirts, pizza cutters and more.
River Rock spans 2,250 square feet and seats up to 108 guests, in addition to offering takeout for guests on the go.
River Rock’s menu is highlighted by signature Neapolitan-style pizzas, assorted starters, fresh salads, pasta entrées, among other dishes like New York marsala.
An expansive bar selection includes domestic and import beers, signature cocktails and wine selections by the glass and bottle.
