Diner Named Winner of “The Great Las Vegas Coffee Shop Giveaway”
On Wednesday, May 31, media had the rare opportunity to have a behind-the-scenes look at the fabrication of a brand-new sign at the YESCO Custom Electric Signs Las Vegas.
The sign was created for Winnie & Ethel’s Downtown Diner, the winner of “The Great Las Vegas Coffee Shop Giveaway,” which is slated to open at the Huntridge Shopping Center in Downtown Las Vegas.
The 18-foot-long internally illuminated sign featuring Winnie & Ethel’s vintage color palette with exposed white neon is in its final stages of fabrication and was revealed for the first time to winners Aaron Lee and Mallory Gott.
Organized by Dapper Companies, “The Great Las Vegas Coffee Shop Giveaway” awarded Winnie & Ethel’s with a fully-built-out diner.
The once-in-a-lifetime contest included donated goods and services from 18 local community partners, including YESCO, which is providing Winnie & Ethel’s with complimentary services including designing, fabricating and installing the signage.
ABOUT WINNIE & ETHEL’S
Experiential Designer Mallory Gott and Executive Chef Aaron Lee, winners of “The Great American Coffee Shop Giveaway”, curated Winnie & Ethel’s Downtown Diner to serve as an homage to the halcyon days of the roadside eatery, the classic café, and grandma’s kitchens everywhere.
The concept reflects the iconic around-the-clock American eatery of the 1940s by serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner classics, with the occasional delightful twist in a welcoming space where the Downtown Las Vegas family can gather, break bread and forge bonds that build community – any time of the day or night.
With the diner’s location to be within the Huntridge Shopping Center, at 1120 E Charleston Blvd. Las Vegas, NV 89104, Winnie & Ethel’s draws upon the rich history and legacy of the Huntridge Theater, which first opened its doors on October 10, 1944.
Winnie & Ethel’s is currently in the building developmental process and plans to open their doors in 2023. To learn more about Winnie & Ethel’s Downtown Diner visit www.winnieandethels.com. Stay up to date by following them on Instagram or liking them on Facebook.
