Last night (Thursday, 5/18/23), the Evel Pie team and Krysten Knievel presented a check to U.S. Vets Las Vegas after raising $2,400 through their March/April Charity Pie of The Month initiative in honor of the late “Kaptain” Robbie Knievel.
The special pie was created by the Evel Pie team and consisted of some of the Knievels’ favorite toppings including, roasted garlic, artichokes, spinach, parmesan, romano, and mozzarella cheeses.
The “Kaptain’s” daughter, Krysten Knievel, performed after the check signing in honor of her father.
Robert Edward Knievel II was an American motorcyclist and stunt performer. He also used the stage name Kaptain Robbie Knievel.
About Evel Pie
EVEL KNIEVEL’S attempt to jump the Caesars Palace fountains remains the single biggest spectacle ever to occur in Las Vegas, and EVEL PIE, Las Vegas’ most celebrated pizzeria, serves Evel the slice he’s earned of this town’s history.
Created by Branden Powers and operated in partnership with Evel Knievel’s estate and son, Kelly, Evel Pie features the world’s most extensive collection of the icon’s memorabilia outside the Evel Knievel Museum in Topeka, Kansas, including motorcycles, statues, and an Evel Knievel Pinball Machine.
An old-school pizzeria, Evel Pie has its own ‘70s American iconography that dovetails perfectly.
No fancy lentil-crusted, tofu-topped asparagus pies here. Like in Evel’s day, just cheese and pepperoni New York slices (among others) faster than you can jump a canyon.
