Independent, queer southern rockers Thelma and the Sleaze are bringing their blend of post-riot-grrrl punk and Southern rock to the iconic Sand Dollar Lounge in Las Vegas.
The brainchild of lead vocalist and guitar player Lauren “LG” Gilbert, Thelma and the Sleaze features an evolving cast of A-team players and an unforgettable live experience.
Thelma and the Sleaze will perform Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 10 p.m. No cover and guests must be 21 years or older.
LG is the embodiment of hustle. As the driving force behind Thelma and The Sleaze, she is the songwriter, the visionary, the take-no-sh*t-from-anyone front woman that is single-handedly keeping rock and roll alive.
Thelma and The Sleaze has been touring the US for years building a legion of fans, affectionally called her creepers. The growing social media presence, the hit podcast, and the features with Yamaha Guitars are really all the result of her incredible songwriting, visceral guitar playing, and the guts to deliver on her vision of what Rock and Roll should be.
LG has also launched two successful seasons of their Podcast “Queen of Sh*t Mountain.” Each episode features legendary musicians such as Tanya Tucker, Brittany Howard, Juliana Hatfield, Kate Pierson, Lori Barber, Patty Schemel, Mary Ramirez and Margo Price.
The iconic Sand Dollar Lounge is located at 3355 Spring Mountain Rd, Ste 30, Las Vegas, NV 89102. Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday from 4 p.m. to 4 a.m. and Sunday from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m.

About The Sand Dollar Lounge
Originally opened as a blues bar in 1976, The Sand Dollar quickly became a draw for iconic musicians including Muddy Waters, B.B. King, and even Mick Jagger over its first 30 years.
Hit by hard times, The Sand Dollar closed its doors in 2013, but its spirit would not let it rest and within two years the Chinatown-adjacent bar was purchased and reignited by hospitality veterans Anthony Jamison and Nathan Grates.
Honoring the tradition and history of the iconic Las Vegas venue, The Sand Dollar Lounge has reclaimed its beloved spot as a premier live music venue with free entertainment nightly, adding rotating craft beer selections, an extensive whiskey collection, seasonal craft cocktails by some of the city’s best bartenders, an amazing pizza kitchen, and table-top gaming in a smoke-free environment.
In 2022, the iconic blues bar opened its second location in Las Vegas, located at The Plaza Hotel & Casino.
