Jammin’ 105.7’s 19th annual Love Affair Concert, presented by Pacific Concert Group, returns to the Orleans Arena on Saturday, February 4, with its biggest lineup of artists to date.
Headlined by iconic R&B group The Isley Brothers, the concert will also feature romantic throwback hits from Blackstreet, All-4-One, Color Me Badd, The Jets, Deniece Williams and Atlantic Starr.
The Isley Brothers rose to prominence in 1959 with major hit “Shout,” the first single to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 and sell over a million copies. One of the few groups ever to have hit the Billboard Hot 100 with new music in six different decades, The Isley Brothers are influenced by gospel and doo-wop harmonies but experimented with many different styles over the course of their more than seven-decade career.
Sixteen of the group’s albums charted the Top 40 with thirteen of those albums certified gold, platinum or multi-platinum. The Isley Brothers have won two Grammy Awards, were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992 and Hollywood’s Rockwalk in 1997, followed by the Vocal group Hall of Fame in 2003.
They’ve sold over 18 million units in the U.S. alone, thanks to hits like “This Old Heart of Mine (Is Weak for You),” “Love the One You’re With,” “Pop That Thang,” “That Lady,” “It’s Your Thing” and more.
The Isley Brothers continue to impress fans worldwide, releasing a new album in September 2022 titled “Make Me Say it Again, Girl.”
Grammy Award-winning American R&B group Blackstreet burst into the music scene with first single “Baby Be Mine” in 1993. The group released its debut album “Blackstreet” in 1994 featuring chart-topping hits “Booti Call” and “Before I Let You Go.”
The group saw breakthrough success in 1996 after releasing its second album “Another Level,” featuring top single “No Diggity” which reached number one on Billboard Hot 100. The album eventually went four times platinum and peaked on the Billboard chart at number three.
Blackstreet’s “Finally” was a top ten album, featuring single “Girlfriend/Boyfriend,” a collaboration with Janet Jackson, Ja Rule and Eve.
Rounding out the show’s lineup are All-4-One, Color Me Badd, The Jets, Deniece Williams and Atlantic Starr.
Showtime is 7 p.m. Tickets start at $49.50 plus tax and fees and can be purchased online at www.orleansarena.com.
No bags or backpacks will be permitted into the venue, except for one small clean bag per person no larger than 12” x 12” x 6” or one small clutch no larger than 5” x 9” x 2”.
