Sapphire Foundation for Prostate Cancer (SFPC), Vegas’ premiere 501(c)3 benefitting men with prostate cancer, hosted the world’s largest mixed table tennis tournament, Ping Pong Palooza at Sapphire Las Vegas on Tuesday evening, where over 30 teams competed and helped raise over $50,000 to support men with prostate cancer as part of its ‘Movember’ efforts.
Movember is an annual event during the month of November to raise awareness of men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men’s suicide.
This year’s charity tournament invited Vegas industry pros, philanthropists and fun-havers alike to participate in Sapphire’s most revered event of the year.
In addition to ultimate bragging rights and trophies, teams had the opportunity to win a Skybox Experience amongst additional raffles and awarded prizes for “Best Uniform” and “Best Team Spirit.”
After the winner was crowned, attendees and players celebrated the grand opening of Fatburger Sapphire while enjoying drinks and buffet dining.
Sapphire Foundation for Prostate Cancer
The Sapphire Foundation is focused on helping men who need financial assistance while dealing with prostate cancer and related issues.
We help pay “the basics,” mortgage payments, auto loans, rent, and general living expenses.
We also motivate men to be screened for this disease as early detection proves to be crucial in the treatment process. Our goal is to lessen the general illness of a patient while they are fighting prostate cancer.
Our foundation which was established in 2003, has generated over $3,000,000 in donations and sponsorships to benefit programs related to the disease and allowed The Sapphire Foundation for Prostate Cancer to help hundreds of men with the funds we generate from our events.
