Lee Canyon announces its Winter Job Fair is Saturday, Nov. 19, from noon to 4 p.m. inside the Bighorn Grill.
There are full and part-time jobs available that include benefits. Job seekers can choose seasonal positions or year-round career opportunities like the director of resort services, patrol manager, and food and beverage leadership roles.
Seasonal positions include mountain operations, food and beverage, ski and snowboard school, retail, and more.
Prospective employees should bring a resume and be prepared for an in-person interview. Interested applicants should apply online and in advance at https://bit.ly/36IRnSR.
“We are looking for people who are passionate about the outdoors and who value community,” says Jim Seely, Lee Canyon’s director of marketing. “People who lack experience should not be deterred. We offer extensive job training and encourage our team to grow with Lee Canyon.”
Lee Canyon’s benefits include paid travel time to cover travel to the mountain, special ski passes that provide access to 11 other POWDR resorts, Lee Canyon’s sister properties, and one family or dependent pass for a spouse, life partner, or child. There are also growth and promotion opportunities and certification training. For example, ski and snowboard instructors can go through the Professional Ski Instructors of America and American Association of Snowboard Instructors (PSIA-AASI) certifications, resulting in a pay scale bump.
“Lee Canyon is one of the largest employers in outdoor recreation space in Southern Nevada. As we grow, our team members will have even more opportunities,” says Seely, noting that this summer, Lee Canyon expanded its amenities with the opening of a downhill mountain bike park; the resort now operates during all four seasons.
Pending weather conditions, Lee Canyon will open for the 2022/23 winter season in early December. For more information, visit www.leecanyonlv.com.
