Manufacturing growth in Southern Nevada remains healthy and steady says Nigro Construction VP
Today, Nigro Construction announced the completion of a 50,000-square-foot building which also marks the start of operations for Spreadshirt, part of Spread Group’s U.S. production team. This building is part of Phase 1 of the Mountain West Industrial Park, a project that began just as the pandemic broke in 2020. Now completed, the buildings in Phase 1 feature 30-foot clearance heights in the warehouse, 10-foot glass storefront office entries, and thoughtfully designed metal canopies to give the building a modern look.
“The completion of this building means that these businesses, like Spreadshirt, can now move in and begin working in their new space, which leads to hiring for new jobs to fill those roles, and other economic benefits to the city,” said Nigro Construction Vice President of Business Development and Project Management Cory Frank. “The industrial market here in Southern Nevada remains very healthy and working with the owners of these sites to meet those growing demands and diverse tenant needs is really rewarding.”
“We specialize in customization, so having the facility designed for us and our unique needs was key in getting the new production facility up and running,” said Spread Group CCDO, Hanne Dinkel. “The team at Nigro listened to our needs, helped us plan and develop the areas within the shell of a building, and we couldn’t be happier with the final product.”
The facility Nigro Construction built for Spread Group serves as the production hub for the international company in the western U.S. and includes a large office space and conference room, private offices, a lounge area/breakroom, warehouse space, a printing room, as well as a storage facility for materials. Spread Group, along with its ancillary brands, creates customized products for consumers including clothing, accessories, and more. Previously, Spread Group was based in Henderson before creating the new, customized location in the heart of Las Vegas.
Earlier this summer, Nigro Construction began building an additional 40,000 square-feet of industrial space at Mountain West Industrial Park. This newest portion of the project is expected to be completed in Q1 of 2023.
