The Strong Start Las Vegas academies were launched by the city to advocate for and bring awareness to the importance of early-childhood education from birth to age 8, which supports school readiness and grade-level reading. We know 90 percent of the brain develops before kindergarten, and that experiences during the first five years of life are crucial.
