Bacon Flights, Inventive French Toast Boxes and Adult Milkshakes Coming to New Downtown Las Vegas Restaurant This Fall
Bacon Nation, the new 24/7 hotspot coming to the D Las Vegas this fall, is revealing its menu – a true celebration of all things bacon. Bacon Nation will serve up a variety of elevated dishes, many of which feature the fanciful cured meat available in 13 gourmet flavors ranging from jalapeno or buffalo to black truffle and even chocolate dipped.
The menu spans items such as signature breakfast bennies to “French Toast Boxes” and BLTs held together with layers of weaved bacon.
Created by Downtown Hospitality Group (DHG), Bacon Nation’s menu was made in collaboration with local Chef Josh Green. He is well known for his work at Las Vegas favorites including Skinny Fats and Greens & Proteins, as well as Strip restaurants from Chef Daniel Boulud and Chef Charlie Palmer.
“DHG is proud of the menu that Chef Josh Green and our team has assembled,” said Abe Taylor, partner of Bacon Nation and DHG. “When developing Bacon Nation, we wanted to create a next-level restaurant that would be a fit for all guests and appetites. This is not your traditional 24/7 concept, and each dish will be as creative as it is delicious.”
the D Las Vegas’ CEO Derek Stevens said, “As the D heads into this next chapter of renovations on its second floor, we know that Bacon Nation will become a must-visit spot in downtown Las Vegas. We wanted a concept that would deliver great service, a fun vibe and top-notch food. DHG hit the mark on all three with what’s to come.”
A Look into Bacon Nation’s Menu:
Sweet and Savory Breakfast: Bacon Nation will have its full menu available all day, every day. Breakfast highlights include Famous French Toast Boxes, which will be made fresh at the restaurant each day. Served in a box formed entirely of French Toast, guests can select from a variety of over-the-top options such as bacon, peanut butter and banana; sausage, bacon, egg and cheese; and razzle dazzle with vanilla ice cream, marshmallow fluff and fruity cereal. Signature Bennies will range from “traditional-ish”; to Caliente Bennies made with jalapeno bacon, tomatillo hollandaise and a chorizo patty; to the West Coast Bennie made with grilled chicken breast, bacon, caramelized onion, spinach and ranch.
Small Plates and Appetizers: A Bacon Flight tops the list for the small plates at Bacon Nation, where diners can choose from a selection of bacon with flavors ranging from lemon pepper to tajin, black truffle, chocolate, black pepper, jalapeno, barbecue, honey sriracha, everything bagel and more. Other small plate options include Avocado Toast; Bacon-Wrapped Pickle Spears; and Disco Dipper Fries made with an over-easy egg, brown gravy and bacon bits.
Handhelds, Sandwiches, Burgers, and The Like: A large portion of Bacon Nation’s menu features handheld offerings. This includes the signature Reverse BLT, a cheeky sandwich held togetherwith layers of weaved bacon and a thick piece of handmade bread in between; a Peter Porker Hero sandwich with Italian sausage, peppers and onions on a garlic griddled hoagie; and the D Burger, comprised of afresh angus beef patty, cheddar cheese, bacon wrapped jalapenos, lettuce, tomato, onion and Bacon Nation’s secret sauce.
Classic Dinner Favorites: From bone-in pork chops to broiled salmon and a 14 oz. New York steak dinner, Bacon Nation will have elevated versions of dinner classics. Other noteworthy dishes include the Country Fried Pork Tenderloin with biscuits and gravy; Jumbo Shrimp Scampi in a butter white wine garlic sauce; and an Italian-style Chicken Parm served with spaghetti.
“That’s All Folks” Desserts and Adult Milkshakes: Guests can end their meal with a wide range of sweet treats, with everything from fried candy bar sundaes to bacon s’mores skillet – a cookie dish topped with marshmallows, bacon, caramel and ice cream – to alcohol-infused milkshakes. Additional desserts will be the signature Maple Bacon Cheesecake and the Elvis Milkshake made with Screwball peanut butter whiskey and served with a deep-fried banana, peanut butter and bacon sandwich.
Greg Costello, partner of Bacon Nation and founding partner of DHG, said “We have loved collaborating with the D’s team on bringing this to life. We are introducing a truly unique restaurant to the downtown region that will have incredible food, a fun vibe and an excellent location.”
Located on the D’s newly expanded second floor, Bacon Nation will have 120 seats for guests all designed by international design firm PGAL. Housing an open kitchen, brick walls and marble accents, the restaurant also will have a large private dining room that can accommodate up to 24 seated guests.
DHG has been a key player in the downtown Las Vegas area, with their work well respected at 18Bin – a restaurant and bar located in the heart of the Arts District.
