As an affiliate partner of the Smithsonian Institution, the Atomic Museum invites guests to celebrate Smithsonian Museum Day with complimentary museum admission.
Smithsonian Museum Day brings together museums, zoos and cultural centers from all 50 states to offer free access.
The occasion represents a national Smithsonian affiliate commitment to access, equality and inclusion by advancing the hopes and ambitions of the public, particularly school-aged children and those in underrepresented communities.
This year’s theme will be the American Experience.

Covering nuclear history beginning with the first test at the Nevada Test Site on January 27, 1951, the Atomic Museum’s exhibitions and programming also address current affairs related to the nuclear industry.
