Leverage, a fundraising consulting company for nonprofit organizations, announces the creation of its new Curbside Events. The open parking lot staged event, Drive-In Style, will help benefit a variety of nonprofits in our local community, bring back corporate events, and celebrate weddings, as well as support local restaurants. The first experience, sponsored by Leverage, is in the planning stages to be held later in the year.
A special menu will be created for each event, and the food (either a meal or small bites) will be ordered and packed in special boxes to be eaten in the privacy of guests’ cars during the Curbside Event. The attendees will hear the event through their car radio on a designated channel and watch all of the action on the stage and large screens. These events are all safe and socially distanced.
“We are so thrilled to create this new safe and unique event option for all different industries to utilize as a drive-in event party and celebration format. It is a way for nonprofits to hold galas and VIP events that are out-of-the-box and socially distanced while raising money,” says Founder of Curbside Events Melanie Bash. “It will also give our local restaurants the support they need to keep their business going during this most difficult time.”
Curbside Events can be used as a platform for nonprofit fundraising, corporate meetings, team building, celebrations, and wedding receptions. Unique ideas include Drive In Style progressive curbside dinner pick up, scavenger hunts curbside, and other socially distanced events while guests remain in their vehicles. This model will transcend the pandemic for future ways to hold fun and festive experiences.
