The staff at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas has been hard at work, preparing the ice for this week’s return of hockey. MGM Resorts is a joint-venture partner in T-Mobile Arena, home of the Vegas Golden Knights.
The Golden Knights are scheduled to open their fourth National Hockey League season in the venue on Jan. 14 against the Anaheim Ducks — without fans in attendance.
MGM Resorts Seven-Point Safety Plan remains in place throughout T-Mobile Arena, along with the Company’s continued emphasis on compliance with local and state health and safety directives.
Dan Quinn, VP Entertainment Operations/GM, T-Mobile Arena & MGM Resorts: “We love the fact that we get to welcome back employees along with our partners, VGK and the NHL. We have a great relationship through the building and MGM Resorts with those guys, as well as BetMGM, with the league as a whole. We can’t wait to have 18,000 cheering fans in here someday. We’re not there yet, but as we develop those safety procedures and everybody decides it’s the right time and place to have fans back, we’ll welcome them back. In the meantime, this is a great first step and we look forward to a long season that ends with another long playoff run, and one with hopefully a little different ending than last year.
