Friday night, breakout music star Olivia Rodrigo rocked The Chelsea stage at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, delivering a dazzling performance to a sold-out crowd.
Thousands of fans packed The Chelsea to catch the popstar’s highly sought-after performance of her debut album, “Sour.”
The energy in the room was palpable as Rodrigo performed her emotive mix of pop, folk, and alternative rock to fans of all ages. The overnight teen sensation opened the show with the angsty hit “brutal” before continuing on to sing covers of two of her favorite songs, “Complicated” by Avril Lavigne and “Just a Girl” by No Doubt. The crowd sang every song word-for-word, with Rodrigo sitting back on the piano and letting the crowd chant the chorus to her debut breakout single “driver’s license.” Featuring a stage setup reminiscent of a high school prom, Rodrigo thanked the sold-out crowd for an incredible evening before closing out with an enthusiastic performance of “good 4 u.”
The Cosmopolitan continues to bring a world-class entertainment lineup to The Chelsea with several performances throughout the summer, including Bill Burr (May 27 & 28 and July 15 & 16), Jack White (May 29), Tash Sultana (June 10), AJR (June 24), Kevin Hart (July 2 & 3), Counting Crows (July 23), Kehlani (Sept. 9) and more.
