Mojave High School’s art exhibit, “End of Year Review” is now on display at the Stone Soup Gallery at North Las Vegas City Hall, and will remain on display until May 31.
“End of Year Review” (2022) is a group of mixed media works created by
seniors at Mojave High School. The artists are enrolled in Drawing I & II, Painting I, and Advanced Study Art. The multi-media process differs among each artist and includes techniques including graphite, ink, colored pencils, oil, pastel, watercolor, acrylic, and oil paint.
“In this exhibit you see a medley of portraits, pop-art, principles of design inspired compositions which depict emotion,” said Mojave High School Art Teacher Erica Rojas-Cimental. “Overall, the exhibit invites the viewer to reflect on the creative self-expression of each artist. This is the legacy the class of 2022 leaves behind. As their teacher, I could not be more proud.”
Featured artists include Kayla Heard, Kristiana Norris, Jose Hernandez Ayala, Silvia Tovar Nava, Cindy Cabrera, Sophia Holden, Alan Vargas, Hiromi Vazquez, and Jenifer Espinoza Jacovo.
The exhibit is free and open to the public during normal City Hall hours, 8 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
